(0:00) Now, the vigilante group of Nigeria which serves the community interest in crime prevention and maintaining peace is pushing for more support and cooperation in assuring proper equipment, facilities and providing user information about suspicious activities and crime. (0:17) The acting commander Yabu Mika stated this in QALI of the Federal Capital Territory during a leadership workshop and inauguration officials of the FCT command. (0:32) The vigilante group of Nigeria was established to put an end to the rising wave of criminal activities by complementing the efforts of security agencies.(0:42) For three days, members of the group converged QALI Area Council of the Federal Capital Territory to build the capacity of its members on leadership skills. (0:52) They were charged to be of good conduct while undertaking their task. (1:34) The acting commander of the FCT command, Yabu Maji, says all sorts of crimes, including murder, are being perpetrated.(1:43) However, despite logistics challenges, he said, the vigilante group has continued to deny the criminals of the freedom to perpetrate their craft. (2:12) For the federal government, for the state government to consider is the welfare of the vigilante, support of the vigilante. (2:21) Security is everybody’s, for example, not one month job.
