The Vigilante Group of Nigeria (VGN) FCT Command has officially disowned an impostor identified as Idris Umar Girinya, who has been falsely claiming to challenge the authenticity of the FCT Commander, Yabo Micah Maji. This announcement comes in response to alarming reports that Girinya has been making unauthorized appointments and parading himself as the FCT Commander.
The VGN FCT Command wishes to clarify that Commander Yabo Micah Maji is the only recognized Commander within the organization in the Federal Capital Territory. He has earned the trust and blessings of traditional institutions in the FCT, which have endorsed him to carry out his duties without interruption. Furthermore, Commander Maji is well-respected among senior security personnel, including members of the Nigeria Police, the Department of State Services (DSS), and the Nigerian Army.
Commander Maji has been diligently working alongside the Nigeria Police to combat the growing threats posed by bandits and kidnappers in the FCT. His commitment to ensuring the safety and security of the community is unwavering, and he has garnered significant support from various stakeholders in the region.
In light of these developments, the VGN FCT Command urges Idris Umar Girinya and his associates to reconsider their actions. We challenge them to investigate the origins of the vehicles and motorbikes they are using, as their legitimacy is in question.
We advise Girinya to issue an unreserved apology to Commander Yabo Micah Maji and to align himself with the legitimate operations of the VGN. The time to act is now, as the community's safety and security depend on unity and collaboration.
