ABUJA, NIGERIA – October 1, 2025 – The FCT COMMAND today commemorated Nigeria's Independence Day with a message of unity, hope, and renewed dedication to the safety and security of the Federal Capital Territory. The celebrations, held at the Headquarters/FCT COMMAND OFFICE, emphasized the critical role of security personnel in the nation's progress.

The FCT COMMANDER delivered an inspiring address to all officers and personnel, acknowledging their tireless efforts in maintaining peace and security within their communities. "As we all strive day and night for the peace and security in our various communities, I am wishing you all a Happy Independence Anniversary," the COMMANDER stated. The message underscored a collective commitment to Nigeria's resurgence, with the COMMANDER adding, "Nigeria is on the rise and shall be great again. I pray that our efforts in contributing to the greatness and security of our father's land shall not be in vain."

Following the address, a meeting was convened with EXCOS and FCT officials at the Headquarters/FCT COMMAND OFFICE. Discussions centered on strategies to enhance security measures and foster greater collaboration between security forces and government bodies. The meeting served as a platform to align efforts towards ensuring a safer and more secure environment for all residents of the FCT.
