Before now, we have (1:19) taken him to the court, the appeal court to be precise, and we won the case, and that was 2019, (1:26) and the case was between one, Ali Sukoto and Dr. Usman Mohammed Jang, and then Bakuri happens (1:34) to be an Ali, one of Ali Sukoto. Now, we won the case against Ali Sukoto.Now, Bakuri, (1:42) on his part, decided to form a sectional group now parading himself as a commandant general. (1:47) Now, we have taken him to the Federal High Court as we speak, the case is presently at the Federal (1:51) High Court, and we are all full believing that at the end of the day, the court will declare the (1:56) authentic general. But for now, going by what the appeal court holds, Dr. Usman Mohammed Jang (2:01) is the authentic commandant general of the vigilante group of Nigeria.
(2:07) Now, the Benway State Police Command has rescued the Kipnap victims of the ambushed (2:12) 18-sitter Benway Link Boggs. That was attacked on Thursday evening by armed men (2:17) at Iqobee Community in Otupu, a local government area of the state. A statement by Public Relations (2:23) Officer Catherine Anene confirmed the rescue of 14 of the victims after an exchange of gunfire (2:29) with the armed men.On April 3, 2025, at about 8.30 p.m., a third boss of Benway Link’s transport (2:38) company was conveying passengers from Makuri to Otupu, and on Richard Otupu burnt brick areas. (2:45) A gang of armed kidnappers shot sporadically at the driver and a passenger at the front seat, (2:51) causing the driver to stop on the highway. Upon receipt of this information, the police, (2:56) in collaboration with members of the Benway State Civil Protection Guard, swiftly moved to (3:02) the scene and found the driver and one passenger who sustained gunshot injuries in the vehicle, (3:07) while the kidnappers wished away others.She said the injured were conveyed to the hospital (3:12) where they were confirmed dead by a doctor.
